Augustus: Bold Street, Liverpool 1983

Augustus will be remembered by many shoppers in Liverpool City Centre in the early 1980s. He was Polish and his busking skills upon the penny whistle were non-existant, producing as he did little but shrill noises. He nontheless seemed to do pretty well out of the shopkeepers who would give him money in order to move along the street a bit!
