Two old views of William Brown Street. St. John's Gardens (see previous page) are on the left. These gardens and the magnificent group of buildings on the right- the Library, Museum and Walker Art Gallery- remain proudly with us today but all of those facing the end of the street have long since been removed to make way for the main entrance to the Mersey Tunnel. |
